Text Link Center Chooses Aweber Newsletter Software
Luke and I have been debating which newsletter software we wanted to use for textlinkcenter.com for quite some time. After talking with some of the other successful internet marketers at the Warrior Forum, it was clear that Aweber was the best choice for our needs.
We had debated our options with the newsletter software for a while. We came up with a few conclusions.
- We always want to go with an open source / free script if there is no financial reason to spend cash. (This is obvious. I think Wordpress is a great example of this). As you’ll read below, I don’t consider an open source solution or locally installed newsletter system the way to go if you plan to do any serious traffic.
- Some of my other sites had outgrown locally installed newsletter scripts (like Sendstudio by Interspire).
- NEVER is it a good idea to force people to “reconfirm” or “re-opt-in”. In other words, switching from Sendstudio to Aweber is going to result in drastic casualties. (We’ve heard horror stories of losing 80% of the list) We wanted to pick a newsletter system and stick with it until the bitter end.
So, we have chosen Aweber. There may be other good newsletter / autoresponder / mass email scripts. There may even be better ones. However, we are confident that we made the right choice in choosing Aweber.

Hi Brandon & Luke,
Thanks for choosing AWeber! Clearly you put a lot of thought into your decision, and I’m glad you came to us.
I’d be happy to make some suggestions to you to maximize your confirm rate as you migrate your subscribers. Just shoot me an email.

Great! I just sent you an email. We have 6,000 or so emails in a database from Sendstudio that we’d like to hang on to.
